Props and Room Dressing
The addition of safe props to a training environment can be invaluable, everyday objects such as televisions, radios, lamps, kitchen utensils, work tools, etc. can all be problematic objects when interacting with clients at home, during transportation or even hospital confinement.
Training scenarios where prop everyday items are in place, means that student’s assessment and identification of situations and possible dangers to themselves or colleagues can be greatly improved.
Spatial awareness training is also improved when these type of objects have to be taken into consideration, especially when interacting and manoeuvring around confined spaces such as bedrooms or kitchens.
